I’ve been figuring out my antenna mounting options, building some things and ordering components.

It’s All Coming Together

The MyAntennas EFHW-4010 is here, as is the UltraFlex 10 and compression fittings from Messi & Paoloni. I have built a hoisting pulley and a movable lift system for raising and lowering the antenna.

Upon further inspection I wanted to take the opportunity to upgrade the tower mounting brackets that attach the tv tower sections to my house. I’ve picked up some hardware and designed a temporary bracket to fit in place prior to removing the current support bracket and installing the new one.

I located a 50 ft lift that I can rent, so I need to gather everything I will need and have it ready to install when I rent the lift. I will be using the lift to go up and take down and old Wireless ISP Radio that has failed, remove some old coax and run new lengths if the UltraFlex 10.

I also want to install a ground rod at the base of my tower as well as install some Alpha Delta Lightening protection so I will need to pick those up and have them on hand for maintenance day.

We also have a busy summer ahead of us so i’m not sure when this will all get done, preferrably before winter.
