2026 Updates

I did not get the antenna up before winter. As I started my deployment I realized that my antenna attachment point to the peak of my roof needed some attention and so I paused the deployment and started figuring out what was all needed for maintenance.

Over the winter, I took measurements, made brackets, and designed a better attachment point for the tv antenna tower. I located a lift that I can rent and as soon as it is dry enough in my yard I will get up and begin tower maintenance.

In the mean time…..

I ended up purchasing a Yaesu FTDx10 and since I wanted to get on the air I deployed the MyAntennas 40-10 EFHW in a downward sloper configuration. The transformer is at approximately 30ft, sloping down to approximately 5 ft. I have a counterpoise installed at 5% (0.05) times 40m. My SWR on 20, 15 & 10 is less than 1.25:1, my SWR on 40m is less than 1.74:1. 

I also have a feedline choke and noise filter installed and performance is decent.
